I am working on a book, with a preliminary title 'Aristotle's Characters'. The book is a study of the four major human characters distinguished by Aristotle (virtuous, self-controlled, uncontrolled, and vicious).
I am also working on several article-length projects. These include a paper with the preliminary title 'Aristotle and the Origins of Evil'; a paper on Aristotle's theory of moral virtue; a paper on some surprising issues concerning to kalon in Aristotle; a paper on Plato's discussion of the distinction between knowledge and belief in Rep. 5 and its relation to the Divided Line.
Besides these very active projects, I have several long-standing papers in various stages of preparation that I hope to bring into completion one day: on Plotinus' Forms of Individuals, on Kant's conception of free will, and a paper on the definition of art.
